“Matt Brown has apologized for the comments made on his podcast, and we have addressed the matter with him. His comments don’t reflect the views of the UFC. There’s no place for discrimination within our organization at any level. The UFC is built on principles of respect, and any statements to the contrary are not acceptable.”
Sarah Kaufman is signed to the UFC. She confirmed her status on the BJPenn.com radio. “I don’t know how long [the UFC will allow female fighters to fight for Invicta] and it depends on how the UFC’s women’s division goes but Shannon Knapp has a great relationship with both Dana White and Sean Shelby. I’m on loan from the UFC to Invicta right now,” Kaufman told BJPenn.com Radio. So far there are seven female fighters signed on to UFC and the rumor that is going around that they are going to sign five more.
Sarah Kaufman is slated to take on Leslie Smith at InvictaFC – 5 on April 5th in Kansas. Sarah who lost to Rousey back in August of last year is looking for a win in 2013 and this is her way to get back to the top and possibly get a rematch with Rousey if Ronda is still the champ for UFC.

Miesha also said last night that she was joining UFC along side Ronda Rousey in upcoming year. Tate who lost to Ronda was looking to step back away from fighting after her loss from Rousey, but challenger herself and came back with a victory against Julie Kedzie back in August of this year. Tate who is 1-1 in 2012 and 13-3 as a professional overall will start her career in the UFC and I am sure that it will be a good one. Miesha has been the ultimate female fighter in pioneering women’s mma to the mainstream doing whatever she can to make women’s mma stand out above the rest.
Tate who just came back from a trip to Brazil is looking forward to being in the UFC and I talk to her last night she says even though the ink is not dry as of yet it’s a no brainer that she is also going to the UFC and also said that it was made clear to her that she is going to have a home under the UFC banner but final terms have not been reached yet. I am sure final terms will be reached soon.
Tate who is looking for another fight against Ronda after her devastating armbar loss to Rousey will probably have to wait a bit since there are other fighters looking to get the first crack to break Rousey’s undefeated record which include Sara McMann and Cris Cyborg. I am sure that if Cyborg and McMann both lose to Rousey that Tate will get another crack at Rousey.
I am pretty sure that Dana White is looking for the better fight card potential and right now, everyone knows that a Cyborg/Rousey match would be the ultimate match, especially in business and for the card.
I want to say good luck to Miesha on her upcoming career with UFC and hope the best for her!

That’s right everyone, Ronda made the big time, she’s now the 135 lb. women’s champion. Ronda has been fighting for Strikeforce for about a year now, and has won every fight she has fought in the cage by armbar. Ronda who is 6-0 as a pro and is 2-0 in 2012 looks to have fight in 2012 against either Sara McMann, Cris Cyborg or her rival Miesha Tate, she already fought Miesha and beat her with her classic armbar. Rousey has yet to face McMann and Cyborg, everyone in wmma community would love to see Rousey take on Cyborg but Rousey has stated many times that Cyborg would have to go under a microscope in her training camp since she was busted last year for using drugs and suspended for a year. Cyborg gets off suspension in December and looks to head over to Invicta very soon, but I am sure that a fight between Cyborg and Rousey could happen in the future.
Rousey and McMann would more likely the better matchup since both fighters are from the same common ground and I would like to see how they would match up in the cage since Sara is also undefeated with her last fight against Shayna Baszler back in July with InvictaFC. Both fighters are well within their weight class and about the same height and I am sure that this would be a battle on the ground of grand proportions.
So look for more information coming from UFC on this story in the coming weeks.
“And there’s more … sources say Strikeforce, which airs on Showtime, will be running its last event in January before folding up shop for good. A rep for Strikeforce had no comment.

After nearly a one-year layoff between fights due to a knee injury, Miesha Tate has enough to concern herself with simply waiting across the cage from her when she returns. But while Tate’s primary focus is defeating Marloes Coenen and capturing the Strikeforce women’s welterweight championship at the upcoming Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson card, she also has an ulterior motive.
Tate, a 24-year-old who is among the best-known female fighters in the world, wants to ensure that she has a big stage on which to ply her trade in the future. While Zuffa co-owner Dana White has voiced doubts about the long-term viability of women’s MMA in the past, Tate hopes that her upcoming bout with Coenen can convince him otherwise.
"I feel it’s exciting because now, I’m going to have that opportunity to say, ‘Hey Dana, this is what women’s MMA is all about. This is what you’ve been missing out in the UFC,’" she said. "I just hope Marloes and myself go out there and put on a very impressive performance."
Tate and Coenen will have every chance to do so, as their fight is billed as the co-main event of the July 30 show, which emanates from the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois and will be televised on Showtime.
Prior to Zuffa’s purchase of Strikeforce, Tate (11-2) once called White’s view of women’s MMA "ignorant," but she explained during a Thursday conference call that she meant that in the literal sense of being unaware of it, rather than as an insult.
