Keiko Fukuda Becomes First Female 10th Degree Black Belt Judoka

It’s a rare feet in itself, but Judoka Keiko Fukuda of San Francisco has become the first woman to be promoted to judo’s highest level: 10th degree black belt. At the age of 98, Sensei Fukuda is only one of four living people to hold this distinction. (The other three are men livinging in Japan.) The USA Judo Federation gave Fukuda the honor.
